Rain and more rain but also...

preparing a small party

Drawing challenge / Letters

You wrote me your green mountains
sky-blue
wooly clouds
Gold and orange,
your laughter filled rooms
children at play
Your lines painted me darker tones too
and
whites and turquoise
the secrets of your heart
I saw your smile
and heard you
close.

Mano's wonderful theme made me scribble on a small piece of cardboard,
some black paper and take up my brush.
For more please visit her very creative Mano's welt,
and enjoy our 'letters'.

Nice weekend!

Still redecorating

After many tough and also blurred years dealing with all
kind of consequenses of a severe car accident we had,
it really feels like we are starting a new chapter.....at last.
Things were already pointing that direction,
not at least with the arrival of a beautiful grandson last year,
 and now... with repainting
the rooms....YES, we got through....other times has arrived.

We bought an old shool cabinet at the local auction house,
(inside it smells school like and has ink stains in the bottom part)
my partner did a brilliant job painting it
(why not do a total make over and change the furniture as well)
light, light...let there be light!

Do you remember  Body, heart and soul,
as you can see i came across three old wooden balls,
which seemed just right , so i replaced the three ladies,
i like it better now.

Drawing challenge / Shadows

Thanks to lots of sunshine
and thanks to wonderful inventive Ariane
here are 'shadows'

the light painting images
fleeting imitations
changing with the hours
 concealing their owners
but uncovering them at the same time
fading as night falls
I tried to grab shadows

Please take a look at Ariane's blog 'Rose' and watch the shadows
Nice weekend to you all!

Yesterday and the day before

the fox and the raven were waiting for me in the thrift shop

a tired dove landed on my open door and peeped inside,
i tried to chase her away because the cats had noticed her too
she wouldn't go,so i gave her water and some bread
afterwards she sat on the roof and left

basket of soap from the flea-market

work in progress

Garden today

(you can click to enlarge)

The oriental poppies are blooming, the red ones (Rembrandt) flaming and blazing
under a golden sun, the pink ones (Prinzessin Viktoria Luise) more subdued,
more quiet and also harder to grow, but they are having an interesting conversation
the painter and the princess ;)

Drawing challenge / Paper doll drama

Between the folds of her skirt lives a little girl, a litttle girl blowing bubbles.
She knows that little girl, but she's not always aware of her presence .
Though sometimes the tickling of the bursting bubbles makes her giggle...
or sigh , or smille.
(She knows now, some dreams are meant to be just dreams.)

The beauty of the shiny bubbles will keep surprising her and the little girl  doesn't
make any preparation to leave (she will probably live there forever).
