dc little red riding hood

I started very enthusiastic an almost classical
scene.... had to try another one, one i never found
in my book when i was a child, and could not resist  drawing the one below,
iconic, that's how much they are a part of our past and present,

are you looking forward to more little red hooded girls and big bad wolves,
please visit Patrice's beautiful and stylish blog to find out
where they are hiding

have a good weekend

captivated by collages and mixed media

(last dance of the roses)

the ideas and images keep coming,
 there's something very
satisfying about finding the right paper, cutting and tearing the forms and building up layers

there is a shortage of natural light, daylight , i stop painting when the
darkness sets in but it doesn't hold me back from cutting and gluing.

dc habit

habit; patterns of thinking and behaviour  that have become very obvious for ourselves but are noticed by
others or that are noticed by us from time to time , for example by pondering over 'habit' as it is this week's theme
presented to us by  Kristen,

november garden and the weeping forest

there is that november stillness in the garden
a bird scratching
the crunching of dried leaves
flames without fire
a soft humanlike sigh through the bushes
and that scent
oh a scent awakening all senses

(the weeping forest)

grow flippers when you need them

my studio table is covered with sketches and work in the making,
but today i woke up with aching muscles, a cotton brain and rather feverish,
i don't function, can't concentrate nor think clear enough,
i'll have to slow down the rest of the week i'm afraid

i finished 'grow flippers when you need them' yesterday

see you all next week

dc abbild /portrayal

Our fabulous host and dc driving force Ariane, came up with a splendid theme this week,
a theme with that many possibilities it made my imagination run wild and i didn't really knew what to pick 'till, by chance, i heard this song, Midnight Oil's 'where do we sleep when our beds are burning'.
I decided to try and do the portayal of a song,
this song, with it's clear message and compelling beat, a chorus that always made me dance and sing along.

please go to Ariane's 'Rose'  for more
abbild/ portrayal

have a nice weekeend
and yet keep dancing now and again
