dc pollinators

pollinators,
according to science, the impression of the world around them
differs from ours, because of the way their eyes are built.

they can see UV light.

no wonder they are buzzing and fluttering around  as energetic as they do :)
i'm already looking forward to the time they will be here,
helping to bring the garden alive !
small gems.

sweet Tammie is our host this week,
please go to her wondrous place to see
more pollinators at work.

have a beautiful weekend

dc spring break

as an explanation of 'mad as a march hare'
wikipedia writes :
'...jumping vertically for seemingly no reason.....'

as the dutch/flemisch translation for 'spring' is  'jump'
let's just jump into spring and have a break after that long winter.

this weeks drawing challenge is hosted by Veronica,
a lady with green fingers and creativity in abundance,
so please take a look at her lovely place
to find out what the other participants did with spring break.

have a sunny weekend

instinct 2

instinct 2 is the title but while painting the following phrases
crossed my mind:

can i come with you? he asked
i would like that, she answered, but i'm afraid i'm going to hurt you.
i will take the risk, he replied.

big wheel keeps on turning...

just when you start to wonder, there it is,
that tingle in your nose, your veins and you recognize it,
it's time to plant some pansies.
the pots seem to big and you tend to put them to full,
you know it, but you do it again, every year.
it's just the longing.

concentrationloss

I often make little sketches of images in my head,
i do this to safe them, to not forget them forever, small reminders.
Later some of these sketches  become larger, more detailed, more interesting gouaches.
But in this case i do like the sketch better, her expression, the form of his head,
but most of all it's in the position of her arm.
( more protecting in the sketch and essential!! but overlooked!!)
oh concentration where were you?

anyway...
have a relaxing weekend ;)

moist and mossy

we walked quite a bit the past days,
rain nor wind could keep us inside.
beautiful places nearby.
we found dens where little creatures and stories dwell.
enchanting green moss.
rain puddles are just there to jump in, aren't they?
