Yesterday and the day before

the fox and the raven were waiting for me in the thrift shop

a tired dove landed on my open door and peeped inside,

i tried to chase her away because the cats had noticed her too

she wouldn't go,so i gave her water and some bread

afterwards she sat on the roof and left

Garden today

 The oriental poppies are blooming, the red ones (Rembrandt) flaming and blazing

under a golden sun, the pink ones (Prinzessin Viktoria Luise) more subdued,

more quiet and also harder to grow, but they are having an interesting conversation

the painter and the princess ;)

Drawing challenge / Paper doll drama

Between the folds of her skirt lives a little girl, a litttle girl blowing bubbles.

She knows that little girl, but she's not always aware of her presence .

Though sometimes the tickling of the bursting bubbles makes her giggle...

or sigh , or smille.

(She knows now, some dreams are meant to be just dreams.)

The beauty of the shiny bubbles will keep surprising her and the little girl  doesn't 

make any preparation to leave (she will probably live there forever).

Sunny and a little rain....

but mostly sunny. There seems to be a tendency towards orange in my house lately :),

and other vibrant colours (embroidered handbag from the flea-market, obviously irresistable).

This evening the rain came and the garden got filled with pearls and scent.

Sorry for my late reaction to all the drawing challenge participants,

other lovelies needed my attention , but fairy-tales were never faraway.

there is the innocence and the depravity,

the good and the bad,

there  is the tension, the growing danger ....

untill that moment of magic when 

the unexpected happens,

the good defeats the bad

...

and they (usually) live happily ever after.

Finished!

I'm just gazing at the walls, the light outside playing 

with the new colour inside.  I love the effect,  i live on cloud nine(also colour-wise).

Carefully putting nails in the virginal walls, not too much , let the 

rooms tell me where they want to be decorated, where they need a (fairy) tale ;)

In the kitchen, the curtains are dyed, 'goldfish orange', a bright sun in the sky.

Everything ready, just in time , let the guests arrive!

I've been very busy, but i will visit you all very soon,

oh how i longed and  waited for this moment, those yellow walls looked so tired!

Mowing my little lawn this week, pompons were on my mind....

a carpet of grass pompons would be nice but then... there was also this amusing and lovely young lady!

So instead of making a carpet i painted :
